Andrew Ward is the Founder and a Managing Partner of Clearstream, as well as the Chairman of its investment committee. Prior to the formation of Clearstream, Mr. Ward was a senior Partner of Riverstone Holdings LLC (“Riverstone”). Mr. Ward joined Riverstone in 2002 shortly after its founding, and for 15 years he was responsible for the sourcing and management of investments across the energy industry, with a particular emphasis on the midstream sector. In addition to personally leading many of Riverstone’s significant midstream investments, Mr. Ward was also a member of Riverstone’s investment committee where he oversaw the firm’s capital allocation and strategic decision making for transactions spanning all energy subsectors and geographies. He was also a member of Riverstone’s four-person management committee. Mr. Ward is based in New York.
Alex Popp is a Principal of Clearstream and a member of the Firm’s investment committee. Prior to joining Clearstream, Mr. Popp spent three years with Outfitter Energy Capital, LLC/TPH Partners, LLC, a Houston-based middle market private equity platform where he focused on investments in the North American upstream energy sector. Prior to that, Mr. Popp spent over four years in natural resources investment banking in Houston covering all major energy sectors, most recently as a Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC. Mr. Popp is based in Houston.
John Sartorius is a Principal of Clearstream and a member of the Firm’s investment committee. Prior to joining Clearstream, Mr. Sartorius spent five years at Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC (“Morgan Stanley”) and was an Executive Director in the Natural Resources Investment Banking Group in New York and Houston, with a focus on sourcing and executing corporate mergers, acquisitions and capital markets transactions in the midstream sector. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Sartorius worked for Barclays Capital Inc. in the Natural Resources Investment Banking Group. Mr. Sartorius is based in New York.
Dan Plate is a Vice President of Clearstream and a member of the Firm’s investment committee. Prior to joining Clearstream, Mr. Plate spent five years at EIG Global Energy Partners (“EIG”) in Houston. At EIG, Mr. Plate focused on investments across the capital structure in public and private companies, primarily in the North American upstream and midstream sectors. Prior to joining EIG, Mr. Plate worked for Jefferies Group LLC in its Energy Investment Banking Group, covering companies primarily in the upstream and oilfield services sectors. Mr. Plate is based in Houston.
Luke Anderson is an Associate at Clearstream. Prior to joining Clearstream, Mr. Anderson was an Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Natural Resources Investment Banking Group in Houston, where he focused on the analysis and execution of corporate mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and capital markets transactions in the midstream and upstream sectors. Mr. Anderson is based in Houston.
Portia Pascal is the Office Manager for Clearstream and has over eight years of experience as an Executive Assistant. Her skillset focuses upon providing administrative support to C-Level Executives in the financial service sector as well as the publishing industry. Prior to joining Clearstream, Ms. Pascal was an Executive Assistant at a private equity firm and an asset management firm, focusing on corporate recruiting and digital branding. In addition to her administrative background, Ms. Pascal has experience in project management, overseeing large-scale events and international meeting planning.
